Grace is an accomplished and sought-after guitarist and songwriter from Buffalo, NY. She plays intense, tasteful solos that take listeners on journeys to special places where they never want to leave. Lougen has won multiple awards for her songwriting and guitar playing from many organizations including Buffalo Night-Life Magazine, Best of WNY Music, and Sportsmen's Americana Music Foundation.
Grace actively plays out nearly every night both locally and nationally. Lougen toured in Europe and the US with award-winning bandleader Robert Parker and with Grace Stumberg, an incredible artist who also performed as Joan Baez’s background vocalist for 8 years. Lougen has served extensively as guitar tech for folk legend Joan Baez up until her retirement in 2019, and also worked for the Indigo Girls. Grace has shared the stage with many other national acts including Selwyn Birchwood, Devon Allman, and the late Leon Russel.
In the studio, Lougen has contributed her songwriting and guitar playing to over a dozen full-length records. (Full listing under “Music” tab.)
In 2018, Grace joined forces with Megan Brown (vocals), Josh English (drums), and Dylan Hund (bass) to form a rock supergroup: the band Grosh. Since then, they have put out two albums and an EP, and are currently at work on their third record, produced by the legendary Tim Lefebvre.
